Immersive Exhibition for Tajikistan · UN, New York
A digital tribute to Tajikistan’s cultural soul, Threads of Tradition transformed centuries of poetry, sacred architecture and ritual into an immersive 360° experience. Commissioned by the Republic of Tajikistan, the exhibition premiered at ARTECHOUSE NYC across 445 square meters of projection surface in 20K resolution with 30-channel spatial sound.
The 15-minute continuous loop invited audiences into a fluid audiovisual poem about the memory and rhythm of a land shaped by wisdom and spirit. The exhibition opened with a private diplomatic reception, followed by three sold-out public sessions.
The show unfolded as one seamless narrative, voiced by the legacies of Rudaki and Avicenna. It wove together 360° footage, cinematic field recordings, symbolic CG worlds and layered sound into a new lens on heritage: immersive yet reverent, poetic yet precise.
Filming took place across Tajikistan’s ancient cities, highland landscapes and artisan workshops. The footage was then transformed in Unreal Engine and Houdini into an architectural lightscape, with projection mapping and spatial sound synchronized across every surface.
